  This Saturday the youth group is taking a trip to the Auburn Hills area to do some Disc Golfing. Disc Golf is fun and free and all the Frisbees will be supplied. After we are finished playing we will stop for dinner at Don Pablo's Mexican restaurant. Expect to spend about $14.00 for a meal, drink and tip. We will leave the church at 10:00AM and return at 6:30PM.

  The youth group has a surprise opportunity. The band Temple Veil will be coming to play a concert of prayer on Wednesday, July 21 from 6:30PM - 8:30PM. Temple Veil is a two man praise and worship band. During the concert of prayer they will lead the group in music and we will take periodic breaks to focus on various prayer topics. We want to invite the entire church to join us for an evening of worship and prayer in the fireside room. For more information about the band, visit www.templeveil.com

  Sr. High will meet all summer at Joe and Debbie Biga's house from 7:00PM - 9:00PM. The Biga’s live at 3128 Biga drive, right off Oakwood. Jr. High will met every Wednesday from 6:30PM-8:30PM at Ross Bible.

  The next big event on the calendar is the Sr. & Jr. High Water War. Take part in a liquid battle from 2:00PM -5:00PM on Saturday, July 10. Participants should bring their own water gun, water goggles, water balloons, a swimsuit (modest one piece)  and $1.00. We will play a variety of water related games with a break for snacks part way through.

  To celebrate the end of school the Jr. and Sr. High is having a BBQ at the Bigas on Saturday, June 19 from 5:00PM - 10:00PM. Bring a two liter of pop and either cookies or chips. Come prepared to swim and play volleyball and Frisbee.

During the Sunday morning service on June 20, the youth group plans to honor the graduating seniors. We have a gift we would like to give to each student. The service begins at 10:45AM. During the first part of the service all the graduating seniors will be asked to come up onto the stage. We would like each of you to introduce yourself to the congregation and tell them from what school you will be graduating and any future plans you have. I hope you will make plans to attend.   Congratulations to Andy for his undefeated streak and overall victory in the Pokémon tournament. There is NO YOUTH GROUP THIS WEEK due to the PH and PHN graduation ceremonies.   This Friday, June 4 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM the Jr. and Sr. High students are invited to compete in a Pokémon card tournament. Players need to bring their Pokémon cards and a snack to share with the group.

  There will be no Sr. High youth group next week June 8 or Jr. High youth group on June 9 due to the High School graduations.   Congratulations to Tiffany who was the sole winner of the 2010 Laser League season. She has chosen to have a free meal at BD's Mongolian BBQ as her prize. Before we can award Tiffany her meal, however, we have to take care of our basketball and euchre winners. We will be taking a trip to Fuddruckers Hamburgers in Flint on Friday, May 14 from 5:00PM - 9:00PM.

  Youth group begins again today after a week off for Easter break. The next event on the calendar is the Laser League Season Finale. The Laser League Finale is scheduled for April 23 from 8:00PM - 12Midnight. There will be no Laser League for April 17.

  Myrtle Beach students, please remember that you need to have your luggage at the church on Wednesday, March 31 between 5:00PM and 6:00PM. We will pack the trailer at this time so that we can leave right at 5:00PM on Thursday, April 1.

  There will be no youth group over Spring Break on Tuesday, April 6 or Wednesday, April 7. Regular youth group will start back up after Spring Break vacation.

  Congratulations to Tommy Morgan who was the winner of our Euchre Tournament last weekend. Tommy won a meal at  Fuddruckers Hamburgers (www.fuddruckers.com). Jeremy an Gordon also chose to have a meal at  Fuddruckers for their victory in the Basketball Tournament. We will schedule a time in April to go as a group for burgers and the three champions can enjoy some free food.

  The next scheduled event is Laser League on Saturday, February 27 8:00PM - 10:00PM.

  The Basketball obstacle course changed the standings of the Basketball tournament. First, second, third, forth and fifth place received 30, 25, 20, 15 and 10 points respectively. Team UM had the fastest time with 29.50, Shenanigans took second with 31.13, Cavs were third with 31.84, Biga Boyz were forth quickest at 32.38 and Shenanigans took fifth with 32.59.

  The last two weeks we have not been able to have the Basketball Tournament. the first week because of snow and the second because some of the teams were absent. This week the tournament continues and absent teams will just fall behind in points.

  I just wanted to say BooYah to all who helped eat the 200 pound hamburger. If you think about it we set an unofficial world's record. The Angry Bull advertises the 200 pound burger as the world's largest commercially produced burger. We were the first people to ever finish eating one.

Our next big event, and I do mean BIG, is an attempt to consume the world's largest commercially produced hamburger. This whopper weighs in at 200 pounds and so we will need as many people as we can to finish it. Bring your friends, and family to the Angry Bull restaurant at 5078 Lapeer on Friday, February 12 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. We are going to hang out at the restaurant and play Euchre, Monopoly, and other games. Prizes will be awarded for various games. Plan on paying $10.00 for the evening, but if we get a big group of people, the cost may be reduced.

  The Tuesday Basketball Tournament begins today, Tuesday, January 26. The tournament will be held every Tuesday at 7:00PM until March 2. Teams will consist of two players. Teams will compete in a variety of games. The team with the highest score wins.

  Lake Ann students make sure you are at Ross at 11:00AM tomorrow morning. Bring your luggage to the carport. Guys luggage will be packed first. Don't forget to bring money for food on the way there and back.

  Youth group starts again for the year today. Sr. High meets Tuesday nights from 7:00PM - 9:00PM and Jr. High meets Wednesday nights from 6:30PM - 8:30PM. I hope to see you back with us again this year.

  Students who are going to Lake Ann this weekend need to be at the church at 11:00AM on Friday the 8th. If you have not filled out a Lake Ann health form make sure you pick one up at youth group or print one off from the Lake Ann web site (www.LakeAnnCamp.com). Make sure you bring warm clothing, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, towel, your Bible and extra money for food there and back. If you have any questions contact Pastor Tim at the church office.
